MOTIVATION n MARKETING PROJECT

Motivation and Marketing is an individual assignment that required creating a website to discuss a person's desire to take action, also known as motivation. This project was conducted in my undergraduate studies for one of my psychology courses —PSYC 462 Motivation and Emotion. 

The project aims to apply an interdisciplinary approach to consumers' motivation in purchasing behavior and brand engagement from psychological and marketing points of view.

ASSIGNMENT

REFLECTION

For this assignment, I was required to create a website to write about a topic related to our class subject, Motivation and Emotion. The purpose of this assignment is to prepare students to apply any three of the psychological theories we'd learned in class to the real world. We were allowed to choose our own topic. I found that these psychological theories are applicable in our daily life. For example, the subject could be a person's behavior or child development. As a marketing student, I'd decided to choose a topic that I found helpful for my studies. In addition, we were required to use any two of the psychological theories to do a literature review from research articles to support our topic. The words "you," "I," "we," or "prove" were not allowed to use anywhere in the literature review. After completing this assignment, I learned that explaining the theories to readers who have never taken my class is not easy. The topic and theses should be simple, understandable, and convincing for readers. Therefore, it is crucial to look for a solid literature review to concrete my points. This assignment helps me understand more from what I've learned, and I believe these pieces of information will be practical for my future marketing and advertising career.
